During the week of four selected classics programs in our Living Composers Series, the Straight Up group will meet on Wednesday or Thursday evening at a downtown bar or restaurant to enjoy food, drinks and to discuss that week's program. Each discussion will focus on the life and work of the living composer whose work will be heard that week. For two of the meetings, the composers themselves - Chen-Yi on May 2 and San Antonio's own Tim Kramer on March 22 - will be there to meet and talk. Immediately following the Friday evening concert, there will a special, invitation-only reception to a local bar or restaurant where Straight Up members can have a drink and socialize with the stars of the show.
