Rodrigo’s beloved guitar showpiece Concierto de Aranjuez is filled with richness, color and passion. Since its premiere in Spain in 1940, it has been, by far, the most popular work for guitar and orchestra and one of only a handful of symphonic works that transcends the classical repertoire into broad super-popularity. Its inspiration was 16th century Spanish gardens and the music will instantly transport you to Spain with its rhythmic drive and unforgettable melodies. Grammy nominated Manuel Barrueco is internationally recognized as one of the most important guitarists of our time.
