The San Antonio Symphony is pleased to announce the 2013 Russell Hill Rogers String Residency Master Class featuring internationally-recognized violinist and conductor, Cho-Liang Lin. Mr. Lin will be conducting and performing Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons with the San Antonio Symphony at the Classics series concerts on March 22 & 23, 2013. The Master Class will give young local violinists firsthand interaction with this master musician.

A lot can be learned through observation. While only a limited number of violinist will be chosen to perform in the class, students of all ages are invited to attend and observe the class. Bring your family and friends! This event is FREE and open to the public.

Interested in performing in the class?

The San Antonio Symphony welcomes any advanced violin student of any age (middle school through college and beyond) to apply to participate in the master class. As space in the master class is limited, candidates for consideration should be of the highest caliber.

Candidates must live within the San Antonio metropolitan area or study with a teacher from the San Antonio area. Each participant in the class will be responsible for providing his or her own accompanist.

In order to apply, a signed nomination form must be submitted by the candidate’s teacher. When submitting the nomination form, please attach a short biography of the student.

Nominations must be received by Friday, February 22, 2013, at 5:00 pm. We will not be able to accept nominations after that date. Participants will be chosen by a panel of local musicians. All decisions made by the panel are final.
THERE IS NO FEE FOR NOMINATING A CANDIDATE TO PERFORM IN THE MASTER CLASS.
