History of the Contest:
The Paint to Music contest was created in 1973 as an enhancement to the San Antonio Symphony’s educational program now called the Young People’s Concert Series and is organized by the San Antonio Symphony League.
The Symphony League invites students Pre-K through grade 6 attending any of the concerts to create a work of art in the classroom setting while listening to thematic selections of music chosen by the Symphony to coordinate with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills Requirements.
