Community Engagement Program

musicians present to kids at Barnes & Noble

As part of our innovative Community Engagement program, Symphony musicians visit over 40 area schools every season, including pre-schools, kindergartens, elementary, middle, high schools, colleges/universities and even schools for retired people. The visits cover a wide variety of activities, including chamber music performances, sectionals and coaching with band and orchestra students, master classes, presentations, and demonstrations. Symphony musicians also perform regularly in nursing homes, community centers, and hospitals.
